Instructions
Your mould can be made from any product, even Castaway that will withstand baking at 13O°C, but is best flexible silicone 2 part mould material with curing agent.
-
A light coating of release agent is recommended, e.g.. Vaseline
or similar.
Brush a coat of Castaway to fully cover the mould.
Pour sufficient material to fill the mould.
Place the filled mould into a pre-heated oven at 13O°C.
-
Curing time should be between 20 - 30 minutes at the set temperature,
plus extra time to heat your mould i.e.. about 30 minutes for
large items of approximately 20cms and 10 minutes for smaller
models.
Please Note: Due to the variations in oven settings, a trial piece is recommended to establish the correct curing times.
Allow to cool before any attempt is made to remove your casting from the mould.
